I got my Christmas present early from my husband, he was worried that the gift may not live if it had to wait another week or so.  He got me an air plant jellyfish kit!

Air plants are also called Tillandsia.  They don’t need any soil – in nature they grow on rocks and trees, and grab moisture from the air. There are many different kinds. I’m not sure what kind these are.  They came in a kit of three – three air plants, some sea urchin skeletons (for the jellyfish “caps” ) and some hemp twine to hang them. I used to have several different types of air plants, but they died when we moved up the U.P. (they froze during our journey).  I’m happy to have some of them again, they’re really cool.
